Itinerary
You will be picked up in Arusha by our safari guide and driver. From there you will drive 3-4 hours to Tarangire National Park. We will have a full day game drive and take our lunch while surrounded by wildlife and breath taking views. This park with its sensational baobab trees and different landscapes is the home to varied animal populations. Especially during the dry season herds of zebra, elephant, giraffe, hippo impala, warthog gathering together around the waterholes.
The next morning after a drive of 1-2 hours we will reach Lake Manyara. We will explorer the diverse vegetation and the alkaline lake. We will come across many baboons and other types of monkeys hanging around in the forest. The full day we will enjoy our game drive through the park and search for the rare sighted lions, sleeping in the trees. After intensive search we stop for lunch, and return to our accommodation.
After enjoying a fresh made breakfast, we step into our safari truck and see the landscape changing during a 3-4 hour drive. We will enjoy our afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park when it gets dark it’s time to warm up at our accommodation.
Serengeti is well known because of the big migration, hundred thousands of antelopes and zebras gather in huge herds. Because of its high population of these species it’s a perfect place for the big predators. Even the Park is covering 14,736 sq km, the lions and hyenas are commonly seen while sleeping or hunting.
After a short night we stand up before sunrise and take a coffee or thee. Our early game drive will start, so we might see some predators in action while they are hunting for their breakfast. Around 10.00 we will head back to our accommodation to enjoy are real breakfast. Because the day isn’t over yet we will prepare our self for a full day of game viewing.
During the early morning game drive in Serengeti, we are doing our best spotting the big five. We will take a route that slowly bring us through the stunning plains and tall grasses to the main entrance gate. From there we will drive 2-3 hours to our accommodation near the Ngorongoro Conservation area.
The safari experience is not complete without Ngorongoro Crater. the Ngorongoro Crater was an active volcano but its cone collapsed, forming the crater that is 610 meters deep, 20 kilometres in diameter, and covers an area of 311 sq. km. The crater is home to many species of wild game and birds with exception of impala and topi and the giraffe. You descend 610 meters into the crater for a half day safari. While you reach the crater floor you will see the landscape changing and wildlife will make their appearances. The endangered black rhino, lives near the woodland and swamps, and can be seen in the crater. Also lions, hyena’s and the jackal are common sighted. The game drive will take a maximum 6 hours.
